People often commented to me how long he was, and I always just smiled and said a polite "yeah," because, until now, he's only been in the 50th percentile for height. He sure shot up there! In fact, the nurse rounded his length down because it looked so crazy how much he had grown so fast. I was right, he's getting huge- and everyone else was right that he's getting tall!
Unfortunately his doctor's appointment came with shots. Jake rarely cries, so when he does, it breaks my heart. And he didn't just cry- he screamed when the nurses got him. Luckily there were only 2 shots and the two nurses counted down and did them at the exact same time. He was really upset for less than a minute, and then fine the rest of the day. I did give him 3 doses of Tylenol to make him more comfortable. I teared up a little, but luckily didn't cry like he did.
Jake has also enjoyed cuddling more and more lately. He always wants to be with us, and although it makes getting things done a little tricky, we both love holding him.
Jake and the dog (Kyle) are noticing each other more and more now. Sometimes when Jake is on the floor, the dog will bring his toys and play right next to him. Sometimes he'll bring Jake one of his toys in hopes Jake will play fetch. Kyle dog is also a big fan of Jake's spit up (nasty, I know). When we put Jake in a standing position on the floor, the dog gets so excited, and when Kyle lays next to him, Jake often plays with his fur. I think those two will be the best of friends. I'm excited for when they can really play together!
Watching a little baby grow is so fun, and such a miracle!
He's seriously so handsome!! He's getting so big, so fast. Can't believe he's 4 months old!
