Meeting Great-Grandparents and Jake's First Trip to Temple Square

Yesterday was a busy, fun day.  In the morning Andrew and I had dentist appointments and Maddie had an appointment with the dentist to have her braces checked (she should get them off by the end of the summer-yay!).  I HATE going to the dentist, but it didn't turn out as bad or scary as I thought.  It's the office Andrew's mom works at, so it was fun to see her there and for her to introduce Jake to her friends.  The hygienist was really nice, and we had no cavities!  Plus we sat in message chairs while our teeth were cleaned.  For a trip to the dentist, I'd say it turned out pretty well :)

When we got back from our appointments, Andrew's mom's parents came down from Preston, ID to visit us and to meet Jake.  He had fun reading with Great-Grandma and playing/ learning how to pick leaves with great-grandpa.  It was fun to have 4 generations together.

After Andrew's grandparents left, we headed down to Salt Lake.  We stopped by the Gateway mall and Andrew's family got Jake a Build-A-Bear that has their voices recorded on it.  Jake LOVES it already!

We also stopped by the Mac store- which Andrew can't walk by without going in.  I'm pretty sure Jake will share in his love of technology.  Luckily Jake only drooled one one ipad, and it wasn't too much :)  Andrew drools over them too, just less literally.  Like father like son...

After the Gateway, we headed to the new City Creek mall, which is pretty awesome!  We only walked through quickly on our way to Temple Square, but I'm sure I could have done a lot of shopping there.

Temple Square was fun, it's one of those things I'll probably want to do every time we visit Utah because it's so nice.  Andrew and I went on our second date there to see the Christmas lights December of 2005.  How things have changed since then!

What a fun day for Jake meeting great-grandparents, getting his first teddy bear, and seeing Temple Square!
